A month old!

Well, as of a couple of days ago..

Zoe has become a lot more alert in the last week or so. She likes to lay down and take a look around and check out her new surroundings. She does already seem to like Maya a lot-especially in the car when Maya points out all the things they are passing to her, like the trees, "fallahs" (flowers) and houses.

Last night Zoe slept 7 hours straight! Unfortunately it was from 8pm to 3 am..so Peter and I spent the evening waiting for her to wake up and missed have the good sleep!

4 weeks today!

Zoe had her one month check up today. Here are the stats:

Weight: 10 lbs (75th percentile)
Height: 22 inches (80th percentile)
Head: 15 inches? (75th percentile)

Clearly, this girl is not wanting for food!!

She's already showing signs of being a good Karafotas-the night before last she slept from 9:30pm to 3:30am!

She also seems to be smiling already. I thought I was just being the "my-child-is-a-genius" type, but Margaux and my mom got smiles too! Check out the last couple of pictures.

Maya seems to be adjusting really well to her little sister. She is always asking to hold her and is kissing her and telling her she loves her. She is also constantly telling us "Baby's eyes are open!". Sometimes they aren't open, but they are after Maya yells that right near Zoe's ear ;)

Dancing Big Sister...

Zoe received a music box today as a gift from Aunt Callie and it moved Maya to dance..here is a cute video of her dancing and then discussing the merits of a baby sister:

Two Weeks Old!

And no pictures!! Seriously, I am a blogging mess. I have been meaning to update since we got home, but it's amazing how having two kids can suck up your time ;)

Oh. And I can't find the cord to the camera to upload the pictures...

We are all doing well though and I promise to upload some pictures in the next couple of days. Zoe is a good sleeper for the most part-we've gotten some 4 hour stretches-even 1 or 2 5 hour ones! Maya seems to be loving her baby sister-she kisses her often and tells her that she loves her and regales us with stories of what they are going to do together when "her baby sister gets older". It warms the heart.

We had Zoe's 2 week appointment this morning and she weighs 9lbs 1 oz! The little porker! She is 21 inches long..so she is in the 75th percentile for everything...Peter is excited about her weight because she is convinced she will sleep through the night when she is 11 lbs!
