Dziadek & WaiPo came for a visit...

and we all had a lot of fun. Maya, of course, charmed the pants off of her Dziadek and WaiPo. It didn't hurt that they brought her presents. We had some yummy meals, took some walks and hit up some playgrounds. And of course, there was a lot of political talk.

Here are some pictures:

Happy Valentine's Day...

I had grand aspirations of taking an adorable picture of Maya for Valentine's Day in some cute outfit and some great pose. However, time got away from me today-I spent most of the day with movers helping my new neighbor ;) and fighting to get my child to nap.

So you'll have to settle for some pictures I took this evening:

Eating beans for dinner:

Signing Dad's over-sized Valentine's Day card:

We interrupt this blog update for a dance break:

Checking her email:

Drinking for her big girl monkey cup:

Bathtime for Bonzo...

Just thought I would post some pictures of Maya's favorite activity of the day. She gets so excited when we go upstairs after dinner that she goes right to her bathroom and starts trying to climb in the tub with her clothes on. She loves to get in as soon as her clothes are off and play with the water coming out of the faucet (and I'm not going to lie..she's been known to get pretty ticked off when you turn the faucet off).

Bathtime is generally followed by towelling off and horsing around:

And finally there is milk and stories and bedtime:

Maya recently learned to walk backwards and she just randomly does it-it's quite funny! She also loves to eat raisins out of those little boxes. And she gets obsessed with one song on the Sounddock at home or the CD player in the car and is very insistent that you press repeat when it's coming to an end.

She's generally a lot of fun right now!

LOTS of pictures...

We spent a lot of the time at the playground today! In the morning, we hit up a park in McLean called Clemyjontri. It is in one of the most posh neighborhoods around here. In 2000, Ms. Lebowitz sold the land, that sits adjacent to her property, to the county for $1..instead of making millions by selling it to a developer. She sold it to them on the condition that they build a park accessible to children with disabilities. The name is a combination of the names of her four children.

This park is amazing! It is so large and so clean and well laid out. Maya had a blast!

We followed the park with lunch/coloring at Red Robin:

Congrats to the Blumenthals!

No new pictures of Maya today..but just wanted to send a big congrats to Owen on the arrival of his little sister, Madeline Rose. She was born yesterday at 3:19pm and weighed 6 lbs, 3 oz and is 18 3/4 inches long! I went to go see her tonight and she is SO tiny! It's so hard for me to remember Maya being that small! I guess you do really forget quite quickly!

Here's a little pic:

Our little boy....

Here are some pictures from today-other than the pink shoes and the long(ish) hair, she kind of has the whole boy thing going on. I think blue looks cute on girls!

Since Baba is out of town for a few weeks, I am going to try to post often to give her the Maya fix she needs ;)
