January: Disney World

Our trip to Disney World was great. We left on a Wednesday morning and got to the park in time for lunch with Winnie the Pooh and his friends. This was our first foray into character meetings since the last Easter Egg Roll and let's say that I was a bit nervous to see how they went, since Maya's been known to cower when someone dressed up comes over. To say she loved it was an understatement and Zoe loved it too!

Onto our first ride..Dumbo the Elephant:

After an afternoon of rides and exploring, off to meet Cinderella and her stepsisters, stepmother and Prince Charming:

Phew! That was long-now you know why it took me so long to post it!

I'm embarassed.

This has been the longest hiatus that I've taken from this blog. I feel bad that there is such a huge gap in time. Thing is, with Facebook and Flickr and emails, I feel like the pictures have gotten out there, so I don't feel the need to update the blog. Then my mother chastises me and tells me that my grandmother loves checking the blog and is so disappointed that I haven't been updating. So..even if it's just for Baba, here we go. Oh, and if you're checking the blog-feel free to comment...makes me want to post more ;)

I also have a blog chronicling our house development-

A weekend at home

We had a fun weekend--had breakfast at Silver Diner, went to the Air & Space Museum in Dulles and had playdates. And got new sparkly, light up shoes.

12/19: Nutcracker Tea

A group of us went to the Nutcracker Tea that is put on by a local ballet company-Ballet Nova. Last year we had tickets to go, but it was cancelled because of one of the humongous snow storms we had.

Maya enjoyed it a lot, especially since she was with her best friends.
