Blizzard of 2009

DC can't handle snow--it's ridiculous how a few inches can cause a frenzy and panic amongst people and send them to the grocery store to clear out every container of milk, every loaf of bread and every shovel and sled within miles.
However, every 7 or so years, DC gets hit by a snowstorm that actually warrants such a reaction. Being the cynics we are, Peter and I did absolutely no prep for this storm and let's just say, "Thank goodness for Baba", because otherwise we would have been eating buttered noodles for 2 days.
We got 20 inches of snow between 9pm on Friday and the wee hours of Sunday morning. Maya loved every minute of it. I wasn't about to risk my camera and lens on Saturday while it was still snowing, but got a few good pictures on Sunday morning...
