Pigtails, fevers and modeling.

Zoe has been under the weather with a common cold/virus. Not wanting to infect other nice people, we've been keeping her confined the house or her stroller. Hanging out around the house too long makes us wacky! We decided it was time for Zoe to sport some pony tails and Maya just loves to ham it up for the camera:



She already knows how to say "Cheese!":

And so it begins again...

I am seeing a pattern with the girls emerge. My girls get feisty EARLY. I remember Maya throwing a full on tantrum at 18 months because I made her get out of the bathtub. Now she is very sweet and almost never throws them.
Recently, Zoe has become quite the little drama queen. If you take something away from her (or tell her no!) she will start crying and lay herself down on the floor on her back and wail. It ends up looking like this:

Sprayground!

Every year, Maya likes the sprayground more and more. This year we have finally hit our stride and she runs in there like nobody's business and even lets the biggest fountain dump water on her head...

Mary Poppins

Maya went to go see Mary Poppins last night with Callie. Apparently the beginning was a little rough because Maya was a little scared, but after some time she warmed up and loved it. She was very excited that Mary Poppins flew right over their seats at the end and they got to wave to her. She has also been asking me to sing "A Spoon Full of Sugar" and "Supercalifradgilisticexpealadocious" all day long--I need to brush up on my show tunes!

Change in location.

Given that we no longer own our home in Evanston and chances are slim of going back permanently any time in the near future, I've changed the title of our blog. I don't really want to change the URL since so many people know it already, but I thought it seemed about time to change the title.

EH Trip

This weekend we went up to the beach to see Baba, Jacket and Waipo, as well as Miska who was in town visiting my mom. Maya had a great time and was very sad to leave and told me she wanted to see Miska every day.

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a very nice day--walk in the am, pool for lunch (for Maya and Peter), naps and a BBQ at Amelia's. After the BBQ, Peter biked with Maya down to watch the fireworks.
