They even squint alike...

We visited Kim's rooftop terrace today and tried to take a picture. The sun was a bit bright though...

Quick Trip to NYC

On our way back from East Hampton, we decided to break up the long trip with a stop in NYC. It was a great little afternoon-we had cupcakes, went to the Museum of Natural History, had Chinese food and got out of the city with no traffic!

East Hampton: "Bosh Tee!"

Maya loves brushing her teeth. Well, she loves getting the toothbrush wet and sucking on it, but close enough, right?

Baba tried to give her a tutorial one night:

When you eat a lot of corn, brushing teeth is necessary!

East Hampton: The Yellow Monster

When you're less than 2, even dish gloves are so much fun!

East Hampton: Pool Fun

One of Maya's favorite things about Baba's new house was the pool-especially since it is heated! Daddy likes pools too, so that worked out well...

East Hampton: Petting Farm

I have a ton of pictures to post from our last week or so in East Hampton, so I am going to break them up by activity ;)

On Sunday morning we decided to cultivate Maya's love of horses with a trip to a stable that does horse and pony rides and has a small petting farm. Maya decided she wasn't quite ready to ride the pony, but we did meet and pet some horses and other random animals...

Not sure yet about getting actually so close to a horse:

After warming up a bit to Charlie:

She even fed the pony a carrot! (And a finger ;) )

Future Equestrian...

Maya definitely has horses on the brain. She loves to watch them out to pasture by the market and can stand there for quite a while yelling "Neigh!" and trying to whistle with her fingers like Wai-Po does. If horse loving/equestrian skills run in the family, we'll be buying those first pair of riding boots soon...

Possibly better than Elmo...

Enjoying the beach...

We've been up in East Hampton at Baba's house for over a week-over the weekend Peter and I had an adults only trip to Vegas, while Maya stayed with Baba and Wai-Po. She had a great time while we were gone and has been enjoying the ducks, the beach and all sorts of other Hampton's activities.

Here are a few pictures from last week when Grace was here and we went to go see the ducks:

Father's Day...

We spent Father's Day here at home and enjoyed some nice warm weather. Here are a couple of pictures:

Back with a few pics...

Sorry we've been MIA. I was so good about posting in May and I have started out in June as a dismal failure..

We've been really busy so far this month-we've celebrated my birthday, survived a mini heat wave and packed up a bunch of stuff for Baba's summer move to the beach.

Here are a few pics of Maya this morning after lunch enjoying her chocolate milk:

And kissing Grace:

And here's a video from a week ago, partaking in Maya's favorite activity..singing "Ring around the Rosie":

New Hair Styles..

I got my hair colored, cut and blow-dryed this afternoon and came home to Maya with her very own new hair style!

Capitol Tour

So what does a toddler do on a Friday morning? Why, go on a Capitol Tour of course! It helps when your daddy works there and gets all sorts of special perks ;)

Baba, Baba-Baba, Maya and I headed down to the Capitol this morning to see the sights and we snapped a few pics (of course!):

Her favorite part..the train from the House office building to the Capitol:
